We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Rail team and lead end-to-end delivery of key programmes across the UK rail network.


The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales – Rail, as Project Manager, you will take ownership of rail-sector projects involving fleet branding, livery upgrades, interior/exterior enhancements, and large-scale transformation programmes. You’ll work closely with customers, internal teams, and on-site delivery crews to ensure every project is delivered on time, safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational and client-facing experience within the rail or engineering sectors who thrives in a fast-paced delivery environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle from planning to completion, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across production, installation, H&S, and logistics.

• Act as the primary point of contact for rail customers, ensuring excellent communication and relationship management.

• Conduct site visits, surveys, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with rail safety standards.

• Produce detailed project plans, reports, and financial tracking documentation.

• Manage subcontractors, materials, and supply chain requirements.

• Ensure delivery teams adhere to Aura Brand Solutions’ safety and quality processes.

• Identify risks, issues, and opportunities, implementing mitigation plans where necessary.

• Continuously improve project delivery methods to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Skills & Experience Required
• Proven experience managing projects within the rail industry.
• Strong understanding of rail safety standards and site operational practices.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to control budgets and manage costs.
• Confident communicator able to build strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Desirable:
• Rail sector certifications (PTS, SSSTS/SMSTS, Sentinel competency)
• Experience delivering branding, livery, or asset enhancement projects
• Formal project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2)
