DHL is the world's leading logistics company. Over 380,000 employees operate across 220 different countries to courier goods and mail for businesses and individuals alike. They deliver an incredible 1,818,000 parcels worldwide every year via their extensive fleet of vehicles.

We have a 15+ year long-term relationship working with DHL on fleet branding covering everything from their iconic livery to promotional wraps. Most recently, this included the British and Irish Lions-themed taxis and a James Bond-themed trailer in promotion of No Time To Die. We also regularly supply temporary graphics, such as yearly breast cancer awareness decals.

Last year, we were approached by DHL to work on depot branding with a focus on making health and safety information clear and accessible. Keeping everyone safe on site is a priority for DHL, where people and vehicles are always on the move.

We conducted in-depth site surveys and then created proposals covering multiple branding elements. These included wall graphics, suspended tension fabric systems, DHL-branded notice boards and digital screens. Following approval, a full specification document detailing the installation, layout and functionality of each element was provided.

A key focus of the internal branding for each site was a concept for revolutionising old-fashioned health and safety boards to make them more engaging, relevant, and easily changeable points of information. Our innovative solution was digital health and safety walls. Interactive digital screens were installed, surrounded by Auraflex, to create durable, hard-wearing graphics. This modern solution ensures the content is easily digestible and can be updated instantly from a central point, which was an essential requirement.

We were also recently delighted to participate in a sustainability-focused project for DHL. They're trialling environmentally friendly e-bikes to facilitate the efficient transportation of parcels around cities, reducing pollution and lowering their carbon footprint. We wrapped the e-bikes in DHL branding, making sure they stand out when they’re on the road.

From our fleet relationship, we had a pre-existing understanding of the DHL business, which put us in a great position to deliver an outstanding project. Aura completed the 20+ depot project to schedule, resulting in complete brand consistency and uniformity.

We fulfilled the internal branding brief for DHL and transformed their depots into uniform branded hubs complete with innovative health and safety walls. The content for each site is now relevant to specific risks at specific points of the day, sites and locations.

Interactive employee engagement displays were also included for anonymous opinion surveys, enabling DHL to garner levels of employee satisfaction and inform decision-making.

As part of our ongoing partnership, we continue to look after DHL fleet branding, including the service partner network for all DHL livery requirements. On average, we complete 400-500 vehicle liveries per year for tractor units, trailers, rigids and commercial panel vans.
